The Food Processing Training Program in Old Hubli focused on empowering 15 women by enhancing their skills in various aspects of food processing. The training covered essential topics, including the processing of dairy products, oilseeds, legumes, pulses, and honey, along with food safety management, packaging, and hygiene practices. The program also introduced participants to food legislations, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and the equipment requirements necessary for product manufacturing, promoting skill development and economic empowerment among women.
Our NGO is dedicated to promoting health and well-being in Dharwad district by organizing various health programs, including blood donation camps, AIDS awareness days, and eye check-up camps. These initiatives aim to provide essential medical services and support to those in need, ensuring a healthier and more informed community.
CORAL LINKS FOUNDATION (R) Dharwad, under the Department of Forest Ecology and Environment, has established 167 Gram Panchayat level Biodiversity Management Committees (BMCs) in Dharwad District to promote conservation and sustainable use of biological resources in accordance with the Biological Diversity Act of 2002. The program includes preparing the People's Biodiversity Register (PBR) by conducting baseline surveys, documenting local biodiversity and traditional knowledge, and compiling reference materials. It aims to involve local communities, students, and experts in documenting agro-biodiversity and surveying wild biodiversity, including ecosystems, forests, and wildlife. The initiative focuses on equitable sharing of benefits derived from India's rich biological resources.
